Sanda Class, won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing

The men’s sanda 56 kilograms competition at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China was held from 21 August to 24 August at the  Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium. A total of 128 men from 43 different countries competed in this event, limited to fighters whose body weight was less than 56 kilograms. Zhang Shuaike won the gold medal after beating Nazir Shandulaev of the Russia in gold medal bout 2–0.
